Recruitment Process

All of the companies we represent are committed to Safer Recruitment in Education and all of their managers have undertaken this training. They are absolutely committed to ensuring that before any applicant is employed, they will have had the following processes carried out.

Enquiry

Once you have completed the Apply Now form attached to the role you have been looking at, an Application Form and Position Description applicable to the role you are enquiring about will be sent to you.
It is really helpful to send in a CV at this stage, but not essential, as application forms are a part of the safer recruitment in education processes.
You will also receive a phone call from the person recruiting for the role you have applied for to talk about it a little more.

Complete the Application Form

Safer recruitment guidance insists that Application Forms are to be obtained for all roles in education. Please complete and return the application form you have been sent as soon as possible and return to us by email. If your CV was of enough detail to secure you an interview prior to us receiving your application form, you can hand the application form direct to your interviewer on interview day.

Shortlisting

Depending on the role and the timeframes for the positon starting, you may be swiftly invited in for an interview if your CV/Application Form meets the shortlisting criteria. Or the setting may hold an interview day, where they interview a number of applicants. They know you may be working and finding time may be tricky, so they will work with you to find an interview time that suits you both.
After a successful interview, most of the companies we recruit for will hold a practice session where applicants are asked to participate in a nursery/ club session to show their practical skills.
For managers’ roles, there will be an interview, follow up meeting, and location and / or company tour and discussion sessions. Each of the companies we represent handles this process slightly differently, and may also involve training days and liaison with other managers. This process is explained by the Group Operations Manager in charge of the applications following your application.

The offer

If you are successful, you will be offered the position verbally and on acceptance of the role, a contract will sent to you.
All offers and contracts are subject to suitable employment history checks, a DBS that meets the Safer Recruitment criteria and internal company policy, a minimum of two suitable references, a suitable health declaration and declaration of non-cohabitation with ex-offenders. These all need to comply with Ofsted regulation and Company Policy.

Inductions

All new employees will be involved in a three month induction and probation applicable to the processes of their company. The induction process is set out for you by your line manager on commencement of the role.
