Basic Training

Basic training is the starting point in qualifications for the practical side of the role. Every employee (no matter what their employment level) will take part in basic training. It also helps you, as an individual, feel confident you can be competent in the basics of the role from the start.

Basic training all our employees are involved in:

Safeguarding

All employees, within their induction period, take part in basic safeguarding children training. Training increases with the seniority of the role, and designated leads will be training to the Child Protections Processes leadership levels required to fulfil their role. This is paid for by the company you are employed by.

Prevent Duty

All team members will take part in the online Channel training for Prevent Duty or the specific training provided by their local borough within their probation period. This is paid for by the company you are employed by.

Basic food hygiene

Of course all the cooks’ roles involve basic food hygiene training, and so do any team members involved in food preparation. Not everyone is a cook, but if you like a bit of time in the kitchen or doing food prep with children, your manager will be getting you trained up in Basic Food Hygiene as part of your core training. This is paid for by the company you are employed by.

First aid

All team members in the companies we represent are given the opportunity to join a first aid training course within the year they join and within the year of their certificate expiry. This is paid for by the company you are employed by.
